The Japanese electronic giants have taken their first shot at multi-room speakers. We investigate whether they’ve jumped in at the deep end, or have taken to streaming like a fish to water…
Panasonic have been around a few years now. As such, they have made many desirable products that both look great and sound pretty nice too.
The ALL multi-room system is just one of those products. As soon as you unpackage any of these speakers, you will undoubtedly instantly fall in love. The design of the speakers, the look and the colour, and the feel are just excellent, exuding quality.
The speakers are very easy to use, as is the free app downloadable from both the Android and iOS stores.
There are currently a couple of speakers in the range, the SC-ALL8 and the SC-ALL3. The SC-ALL1 acts as a bridge, includes a DAC and will let you use your existing speakers/amp in the wireless system.
Upon powering up these speakers, the various lights along the top edge of the unit illuminate. I must say, it does look very modern and cool. Updating these speakers is also an easy experience: hold down two of the touch sensitive buttons and wait for the light to stop flashing. Once it has stopped, the firmware is up to date! Very easy indeed. Listening to these speakers is quite an experience too: they don’t seem compromised by their diminutive size! Where is this impressive sound coming from? They sound incredibly full. Good treble detail, nice midrange and bass. A very well rounded, easy to listen to sound. This is a great alternative to Sonos. Panasonic don’t offer the soundbar/sub configuration but they do offer great style and sound, especially for the price!
Come in and ask us for a demonstration to see how the Panasonic can fit into your lives…
