The TT-MK4 is the premium model in Argon Audio’s turntable Range. If you like stylish equipment by a Danish underdog, then read on!
Born out of one of the most prominent players in Danish Hi-Fi (Hifi Klubben) at the turn of the century, it only became officially independent in 2019. Argon Audio is new to the UK market but is here to stay. Alongside great sound, Argon Audio’s main priorities are value-for-money, convenience, and design. The TT Mk4 turntables come in Black and White finishes, but my favourite is the mahogany finish.
The Argon Audio TT MK4 boasts audiophile-grade sound with fantastic build quality. A thick, weighty plinth and rubber-dampened aluminium keep your vinyl steady and stop reverberations from affecting the house. The built-in pre-amp lets you connect directly to your actives or plug into any amp. It also comes with a carbon fibre tonearm custom-built for the Ortofon 2M Blue Cartridge, which comes pre-fitted to ensure you get all the details from your music.

Designed and built to the highest standards, the Argon Audio TT-4 MK2 has the sound and features to impress the most avid music fan.
The turntable comes tightly packaged and has all the power cables and interconnects you require to get started. It takes minimal setting up, and there is a manual, so this is easy even for the most modest beginner. Simply lift the turntable out of the box, put the platter on, and level the tonearm, and you will be ready to start enjoying that exceptional vinyl sound immediately.
Argons TT MK4 sound is incredibly balanced and transparent, allowing users to hear your music as the producer intended, and the larger plinth allows more bass presence without muddying the mix. Adding the Ortofon 2M Blue offers improved detail with a better treble response and more clarity. So, whether you are spinning Miles Davis or Chase and Status, the TT-4 MK4 gives you a versatile and high-quality performance that appeals to casual listeners and audiophiles alike.
Overall, this is an excellent turntable, whether you are just starting or are a veteran vinyl collector. It delivers a professional sound with all the ease of use of a beginner’s turntable. It will surely be the upgrade you want in your hi-fi system.
