Product review: TIBO TI435 DAB/DAB+/FM/AM Tuner

Tibo TI435

It’s no secret that hi-fi is changing. With the advances in internet radio, and the whole world of wireless music streaming, it seems that good old fashioned DAB radio has taken a back seat. Well, the good news is that it’s going nowhere anytime soon, so fear not!

Not everybody is ready to make the leap into new technology, or may even have restrictions to due to poor internet speeds in their area. If this sounds familiar, then the good folk at TIBO have got you covered with their latest tuner, the TI435. With DAB and FM offering even more radio stations than ever and up to 10 presets, it’s very easy to store your favourite stations so they are available at just the click of a button.

All of this is wrapped up inside a very nicely finished metal chassis with a brushed finish, which means the TI435 is also easy on the eye and incredibly straightforward to use, with all the information you require on the bright LED display. Initial setup was also a doddle, with the TI435 featuring minimal inputs. Simply plug in the supplied aerial cable and use an RCA cable to connect the device to your amplifier, then go through the auto-tuning process and you’re away. The TI435 provided us with a huge range of stations with a solid signal strength and no drop out issues or hazy areas.

Obviously, the standard of system you put this though will be the deciding factor of the overall sound, but as far as usability and quality goes the TIBO DAB TI435 is a great unit that does exactly what it says on the tin. To hear this unit in action, pop by your local Richer Sounds today to arrange a demonstration.
