Last night saw the UK premiere of Fleetwood Mac’s reissued album, ‘Tango in the Night’, at Cambridge Audio’s vibrant private London venue, Melomania!
The lucky attendees were picked at random from a prize draw collaborated between Richer Sounds, Cambridge Audio and Warner UK. The album was introduced to the audience by Stuart Wheeley from Warner, who also explained the background behind each track prior to it playing. The unreleased content was a combination of previously unheard tracks and early demos of tracks released on the album, including Seven Wonders.
Tango in the Night is the 14th studio album released by Fleetwood Mac in April 1987, although was the fifth and, to date, the last studio album from the band’s most successful line-up of Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. Although the album took 18 months to create and produce, Stevie Nicks only spent 2 weeks in the studio with the band for the album, as she was touring for her solo album ‘Rock A Little’ at the time. Tango in the Night has sold a total of 15 million albums worldwide, making it the second most successful album from the band behind Rumours, which was released 10 years earlier. It contains several hits for the band, including “Big Love”, “Everywhere” and “Little Lies”.
Tango in the Night – Remastered
The UK premiere was in celebration of the newly-remastered Tango in the Night album, as part of a 30th anniversary celebration for the album, with the second disc containing 10 unreleased tracks. It will be available in 4 formats from 31st March 2017 and the deluxe issue of this reissued album will contain 13 unreleased tracks, which are broken down below:
