Prepare for a game that has everything you could ever ask for!
Die-hard fans of the popular Uncharted franchise are extremely excited to finally get their consoles up and running to play the long-awaited fourth instalment in the franchise, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Since the release of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 2011, fans have waited five whole years for Naughty Dog to make what people are saying is going to be one of the top games of 2016 (or, in my opinion, one of the top games of this decade).
The game is set three years after the events of Uncharted 3, where the protagonist Nathan Drake has left the exhilarating world of fortune hunting and has settled down with his wife Elena Fisher, who appears in the previous instalments of the franchise. However, his brother Sam (who was thought to be dead) returns and seeks for Nathan’s help to find Captain Henry Avery’s long-lost treasure, which is an offer he simply can’t deny. They set off to find Libertalia, an ancient pirate utopia, which is said to lie deep in the Madagascan jungles and holds Avery’s treasure.
Players are taken on a journey around the globe through a variety of stunning environments, from jungle isles to snow-capped peaks, in this third person shooter. The immersive graphics really make this game stand out from the others whilst you watch as Nathan is put through death-defying situations, from climbing precipitous Italian cliff faces to going over a waterfall in an SUV whilst being chased by tenacious NPC enemies.
What I really like about this amazing game is that apart from the campaign (which has mind-blowing graphics), there is a multiplayer mode where players can battle online with each other in different game modes, such as Team Deathmatch and Free For All.
There isn’t really anything to not like about this game. However, the only downside to it is that I feel that the campaign overshadows the multiplayer, and some people only play the campaign without experiencing a different way to play, which is just as enjoyable.
