Sister Ray in Holborn is packed full with a huge range of wonderfully organised quality records and some fantastic rare editions too. With a super friendly staff and competitive prices, this is a central London record store that you need to visit. Plus, they also buy vinyl at great prices, so you can sell some of your unwanted stuff to fund your next purchase!

Love Vinyl is a haven for all those who love dance music. Brought to you by four music lovers with a history in London clubs as well as vinyl, it’s a mecca of music, from new releases to rare collectibles.

Located in Brixton’s indie-cool Pop Brixton market, Container Records carries a wide array of music, with a heavy slant towards the electronic. New releases are in stock, but the real gem is the shop’s ever-changing stock of used vinyl. If you’re DJ, this is a shop you do

Rose Red Records specialise in a huge range of vinyl, CDs and band merchandise for a massive amount of genres, so you’ll always find something you’ll like. They also buy vinyl for great prices… and on top of all this, they also offer a custom order service, so if you can’t find what you want (be it vinyl, CD or even merch), they’ll order it in specially for you!

Crash Records has been a part of the Leeds music scene for 30 years and they specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk and metal. Plus they also stock a range of local music too. They offer an order-in service for any records you can’t find, and they also sell tickets for gigs and events in the local area.

Beatdown Records stock a wide variety of music genres, including both new releases and classic records alike. They offer possibly the largest collection of second-hand vinyl in the North East and they send their records all over the world.

Action Records started in 1979 as a stall in Blackpool, but soon grew into the record store it is today in Preston. Aside from the huge variety of music they sell in-store, they are also an independent record label, releasing great music themselves.
